| Franz Albert Nurnberger became famous
throughout Europe for his bows. At exhibitions Nurnberger was the
recipient of several medals and his bows were used extensively by
virtuosi.
This is the only example of Nurnberger's double
bass bows that 'The Contrabass Shoppe'
has ever come across in all its years of trading. Indeed looking
very much like a large violin bow in the style of the head this
finely balanced bow from circa 1900 is made from good quality pernambuco.
Put to the test this bow responds well, articulates
well and feels jolly good in the hand and 'The
Contrabass Shoppe' has no hesitation whatsoever about recommending
this great-value bow.
