There are lots of things to like about this instrument - including;
i) It is meticulously made from nicely flamed maple
and good quality spruce.
ii) It's small ¾ size proportions feel comfy in the
hand and against the body.
iii) It has a string length of only 105.0cm
iv) It has big-free yet even sound.
v) It has the added bonus of a fitted mechanical extension.
We can tell you that the previous owner was - and still is - a
semi-professional player. Our player purchased the instrument new
and informs us that besides being an excellent touring companion
the instrument knows the entire symphonic repertoire very well
indeed.
Yes - the maker's origional label is visible through the bass
side f-hole. It reads;
Meister Glass, Michael Glass, Andorf/Voightland 1998. On the left
side of the label is the Michael Glass logo - an M sitting directly
on top of a G. The logo is also branded just below the back button.
This smallish instrument is an absolute delight to play. It produces
a quality of sound that will enable a music student to get right
the way through college and into the profession. With the added
bonus of a fitted mechanical extension this instrument seems like
a bit of a bargain if you ask me.
