The Brass Bridge Adjusters have a "fixed wheel" with
a "free-rotating cap" on the smooth end and an "internal
thread mechanism" on the threaded end. As a result any movement
of the adjuster wheel is quite effortless and incredibly smooth.
Yes. Each Brass Bridge Adjuster is made up of three
parts. The three parts are;
i) A cap with a smooth internal and external surface
ii) A cap with threaded internal and external surface
iii) A onepiece adjuster wheel on "inner-leg"
The brass bridge adjusters do have a slight weight
disadvantage but this is more than compensated for - by their unique
design and superior adjustment action. Fitting could also take
slightly longer.
If you are intending to fit any type of adjuster
you need to check that the legs of your bridge are wide enough
and straight enough to accommodate the adjuster legs.
The threaded part of the adjuster legs is 9.84mm
in diameter.
The Brass Bridge Adjusters really are a masterpiece
in design and engineering. The incorporation of an internal thread
mechanism means that any height adjustments to one's bridge and
strings are effortless and super-smooth.
