In the foreground is a rare bronze sculpture
of Giovanni Bottesini (1821 - 1889) by Luigi Varoli (1889 – 1958).
The pedestal stand is mounted in ormolu and is French circa
1950.

At the beginning of September 06 The
Contrabass Shoppe Ltd re-located to Walton on Thames,
Surrey, England.
Walton-on-Thames is conveniently situated
15.3 miles (about 24.6km) southwest of London and between the
towns of Weybridge and Esher. Regular fast trains take only 35
mins from London Waterloo and by road the UK motorway network
- M25, M3, M4 and M40 is within easy access via the A317 trunk
road. There is quick access from both Heathrow and Gatwick airports
by both road and rail.
The Shoppe is located within a short
walk from the mainline station.
