Although an Endpin Protector might seem a rather
insignificant part of your instrument - it does have several important
functions. The primary functions of the Endpin Protector are to;
1. Protect the steel point from any unnecessary
wear.
2. Protect the structural condition of your instrument from the
potentially damaging effects of 'jarring' - the vibratory
shock waves that are created whenever a steel endpin-tip comes
into contact with a hard surface.
3. Prevent injury to one's colleagues, friends or other persons
from an exposed tip.
4. Protect floors and carpets from being holed, drilled, bruised
or scratched by an exposed endpin-tip.
The Contrabass Shoppe Ltd - has two types of Endpin Protectors
available. The Pin Protector 57 and the Pin
Protector 810.
