Exactly the same as the Carbon Fibre Case but much, much cheaper. How come? Yes, this Carbon-Kevlar flight case is virtually identical to the Carbon Fibre Case in all aspects of its function, design and manufacture. The only difference is that instead of using pure carbon fibre - which in raw material form is fairly expensive - Gary & Doug have infused carbon fibre, Kevlar and glass fibre - in a polyester resin to produce a case of equal strength to the pure carbon fibre one - but all for the amazing price of UK£1580-00. That's almost half the cost of the pure carbon fibre one. OK so what's the catch I hear you ask? Well of course there is a slight trade off - but it is only very slight. Weighing in at a mere 23kg this Carbon-Kevlar case is 5kg heavier than the pure Carbon Fibre case. 5kg - so what's the bid deal? Well - we already know that there is a high demand for the lightest case on the market - but for the sake of a few extra kilos - I'm quite sure that many of you will recognise that this Carbon-Kevlar case is of course much, much better value. Is the finish of Carbon-Kevlar Case exterior the same? No. The exterior finish of the Carbon-Kevlar case is plain as apposed to the hi-tech "weave" of the Carbon Fibre Case. Is there the same choice of colour? Yes, for the interior there is a choice of blue or light green. For the exterior there is a huge range of colours including British racing green, black, brown, cream, fuchsia pink, green, grey (platinum), maroon, navy blue, orange, pirate-red, post-office-red, rose-pink, royal-blue, white or yellow.
